An exceptional spirit born of patience and provenance, the Casterède 1979 Vintage Bas Armagnac is a fine example from Gascony’s most revered terroir. Distilled in a year known for producing balanced and expressive eaux-de-vie, this single vintage release has matured for over four decades in traditional French oak.

The nose reveals a great depth of complexity, with aromas of dried fig, tobacco leaf, candied citrus and soft oak spice, layered with hints of almond, old leather and vanilla. On the palate, the spirit is smooth and generously structured, offering notes of stewed plum, toasted walnut, dark caramel and warming clove.

The finish is long and composed, with lingering impressions of cocoa, orange zest and rancio.
