Family Origins
Raison d’être began as a Father - Daughter collaboration, designed to honour the family’s longstanding entrepreneurial heritage and to create a lasting legacy.
Jag, also known as Jake Vine due to his passion for fine wines, principle founder of Raison d’être, has a creative mind with a keen interest in interior design and long-standing relationships with artists who have completed bespoke commissions. After spending hours trawling through numerous sites to find the right piece, often to no avail, Jag had an ambition to create a complete luxury platform which houses several brands; hence the creation of Raison d’être.
Maya, at 14 years old, discovered her passion for entrepreneurship during a Duke of Edinburgh Award project where she scoped out a candle business. Maya received a prototype of her candle the following Christmas as a present, which is now included in her brand, Maya Sienna.
At just 16 years old, Maya, co-founder of Raison d’Être, launched and directed her own brand as part of the official unveiling. Maya is set to become a thought leader in the luxury space challenging the status quo.
