The 1980 vintage from Maison Casterède is a truly distinguished Armagnac, offering over four decades of slow maturation in the heart of Gascony. Distilled in the celebrated Bas-Armagnac region, revered for producing eaux-de-vie of remarkable finesse t,his single harvest spirit reflects both the craftsmanship of one of France’s oldest Armagnac houses and the character of a classic vintage year.

On the nose, notes of dried fig, golden raisin and toasted oak rise gently, layered with hints of soft leather, spiced citrus and delicate vanilla. The palate unfolds with remarkable balance - flavours of poached pear, prune, nutmeg and dark honey are framed by polished tannins and a whisper of rancio.

The finish is long, elegant and warming, leaving impressions of candied orange, aged wood, and subtle cocoa.
