From the cellars of Maison Casterède, France’s oldest Armagnac house, comes this superb 1984 vintage, matured for nearly four decades in the heart of Gascony. Distilled in the Bas-Armagnac region, renowned for its fine, sandy soils and delicate, aromatic eaux-de-vie, this single vintage release embodies grace, depth and character.

The nose opens with inviting aromas of dried apricot, tobacco leaf, and polished oak, interwoven with soft notes of baking spice, orange peel, and roasted nuts. On the palate, the texture is silky and well-rounded, delivering layers of fig, toffee, prune and a hint of cedar.

The finish is persistent and elegant, unfolding with lingering tones of cocoa, vanilla pod and subtle rancio, a hallmark of long ageing in Gascon oak.
