Matured in a single bourbon barrel since 2005, Select Cask 445 is part of Bladnoch’s esteemed single cask programme. 

The nose opens with inviting aromas of vanilla cream, lemon peel and butterscotch, layered with hints of oak spice and wild meadow herbs. On the palate, it is vibrant yet balanced, delivering flavours of honeycomb, baked apple, white chocolate and toasted almond, all wrapped in a smooth, bourbon-influenced richness.

The finish is long, elegant and lightly spiced, with lingering notes of vanilla, soft oak tannin and citrus zest, leaving a graceful echo of its Lowland origins.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 51.3% ABV and non-chill filtered, Bladnoch 2005 Cask 445 is a limited edition single malt of purity and distinction - for collectors and conniseurs alike.

Spirit Storage: Whisky, Cognac & Other Distillates

Spirits are more resilient than wine, but still benefit from proper care - particularly when aging bottles for collection or gifting.

  • Upright Storage: Always store spirits vertically, as prolonged contact with corks can degrade both the spirit and closure.
  • Temperature: Maintain a cool, stable temperature, ideally below 20°C (68°F). Avoid fluctuations and extremes.
  • Light: Direct sunlight and strong artificial light can fade labels and alter flavour compounds over time - store in a dark cupboard or display case.
  • Seal Integrity: Check wax seals and corks periodically. For long-term storage, consider additional humidity control if cork-sealed.
  • Display Bottles: If showcasing spirits, rotate occasionally and avoid placing them near windows, radiators, or hot lighting.
