An exquisite expression of English elegance, the 2020 Hattingley Valley Rosé is a vintage sparkling wine of finesse, freshness, and complexity. Produced in limited quantities using the traditional method, this vintage rosé is crafted predominantly from Pinot Noir, complemented by Pinot Meunier and a touch of Pinot Précoce, all hand-harvested from Hampshire vineyards.
The nose is aromatic and refined, offering lifted notes of wild strawberry, redcurrant and rose petals, with underlying hints of pastry and fresh cream. On the palate, the wine is crisp and graceful, displaying flavours of ripe raspberry, pink grapefruit and a subtle savoury edge, framed by a fine, persistent mousse and a clean, mineral backbone.
The finish is elegant and refreshing, leaving a lasting impression of red fruit purity and chalky precision.
