Elegant and expressive, the 2022 Mâcon-Lugny Les Crays from Maison Joseph Drouhin is a beautifully crafted white Burgundy that reflects both the purity of Chardonnay and the limestone-rich terroir of southern Mâconnais. The ‘Les Crays’ vineyard, perched on well-exposed slopes in the village of Lugny, produces wines of freshness, texture and finesse.
The nose is bright and inviting, offering aromas of white blossom, citrus peel and green apple, with subtle undertones of almond and flint. On the palate, the wine is clean and balanced, revealing flavours of lemon curd, pear and a touch of honeyed minerality, supported by a fine structure and crisp acidity.
