An astonishing and alluring technicolour championing 12 rare and endangered birds. The artist has meticulous ensured that each bird is represented. The name, 'Whispers of the Carnival,' emphasises the fragility and diversity of the natural world, with a subtle call to action, ensuring that these majestic species are not confined to the whispers of natural history, but are preserved for generations to come. The vibrant colours and patterns have been masterfully presented, creating a vivid and charismatic display - visually spectacular!
Artistic Techniques Used: The painting features a matte black background onto which the artist has layered artist-grade oil paints. Fine details were added using 24ct gold leaf, creating a gilded gleam. The foreground is finished in a gloss medium to create a slight 3D effect against the matte background. The painting is protected with multiple layers of MSA varnish, ensuring preservation and longevity. The painting is framed in a distressed black wood frame with 24ct gold leaf inlay, providing an opulent touch and striking contrast.
