A commanding clear‑crystal vase wrapped in a sculptural frieze of galloping horses; a limited edition of 999 pieces, handcrafted in France for collectors who expect their pieces to hold the room as confidently as they do.
Equus is crystal in full stride; a powerful ring of horses courses around the body of the vase, each animal rendered in high relief so that light passes over muscles, manes and flanks with the rhythm of a silent gallop. The piece reads as a three‑dimensional bas‑relief; as you walk around it, the composition changes, revealing new alignments of heads, hooves and shadow.
The horses seem to break from the glass and circle its core, capturing the essence of strength, speed and freedom. The generous height, sculpted depth and significant weight of the crystal give the vase genuine presence.
Equus is produced by Lalique’s master glass‑makers in Wingen‑sur‑Moder, each piece cast, finished and polished by hand. Issued as a limited and numbered edition of 999 examples, and accompanied by an individual certificate of authenticity, it is a work intended for connoisseurs of both equestrian art and serious crystal.
