This singular fluted raku vase has been handcrafted by acclaimed ceramic artist Catherine Lucktaylor and commissioned exclusively for Raison d’Être.
Made using the naked raku firing technique - a method known for its spontaneous markings and smoked crackle effect. A vivid yellow band sweeps around the body and up to the top of the stem, offering a striking contrast to the smoky, earth-toned finish of the raku exterior.
Running in parallel, a line of 24ct gold leaf has been delicately applied by hand, adding a luxurious finishing touch to this sculptural work.
Standing approximately 29cm tall by 14cm wide, this piece is a true one-off - a collector’s treasure that will never be reproduced, ensuring absolute exclusivity and provenance.
